Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health Emergency Department Renovation
Months of meticulous pre-planning and scheduling was necessary to complete the addition to the emergency department of this nationally recognized children’s hospital as well as the renovation of the existing space. The interior renovation was performed concurrently to the exterior addition and was carried out in 15 painstakingly intricate phases, allowing Riley Hospital, which sees 30,000 trauma patients each year, to remain open and in operation through the duration of the project. When completed in May 2005, the project almost doubled Riley’s pediatric trauma capabilities.
