IU Health Methodist Hospital Emergency Services Conference Center
This fast-track, accelerated project turned old lab space into a new Emergency Services Conference Center for Methodist Hospital in less than 6 weeks. Wurster erected dustwalls and used negative air protocols to maintain the integrity of the construction site during the renovation. All Interim Life Safety Measures and Infectious Control Protocols for the Hospital were also followed throughout construction. After selective demolition, we installed new bulkheads, ceilings, partition walls, paint, carpet, resilient flooring, ceramic tile, and casework. In addition to the schedule, existing utilities presented the most challenges for the management team who ended up x-raying the floor to ensure the exact location of existing lines. The new Conference Center provides offices and a break room for the Hospital’s busy Emergency Services Department.
