A new community-focused primary care center has been built in Indianapolis as part of a joint project between Indy-based Innovative Healthcare Real Estate, Indianapolis Public Schools and American Health Network developed a 7,500 square-foot ground-up medical office building for American Health Network (AHN) a Company of Optum Health). This is a new location for American Health Network.
The new facility will provide primary care services to the Medicare Advantage insurance market, along with Indianapolis Public School (IPS) teachers and employees, at no cost, while also serving as a primary care hub for the area’s senior community and surrounding residents. The development location was identified as a low healthcare access market thus Optum’s interest in developing a new medical office building consisting of occupational health, primary care, specialty care, lab, and urgent care.
The new AHN/Optum primary care facility is the culmination of a decade-long effort to revitalize the area. After the City of Indianapolis demolished the Keystone Towers in 2008. In 2011, Indianapolis-based developer TWG developed the new Fall Creek View Apartments and now the AHN/Optum Primary Care facility is the newest improvement of this busy corridor.
