This project involved a pentagon shaped building with each side measuring 20’. The roof structure is a pentagon with a cupola on top. The pentagon shape made the roof a dome, which required a tension ring on the bottom for structural integrity. We added hurricane strapping around the perimeter of the building to make sure the building handled the tension placed on the walls by the roof. The building structure was finished with roofing, masonry, and aluminum storefront systems. The interior includes a coffered ceiling, columns, drywall and painting. Casework was installed for the display of war artifacts and memorabilia.
