Al began his career at Wurster Construction in June 1986, having worked in all facets of the company. He became the 4th President in 1998 taking over from his father, Fred. Al is client-driven, focusing on clients who value a relationship versus a transaction. Al is actively involved in several nonprofit boards including The 500 Festival and Sigma Nu Fraternity.
Max joined the firm in 2019 after obtaining his Registered Architect License and is the fourth generation of the Wurster family to contribute to the business. As Chief Operating Officer (COO), his primary responsibilities include overseeing the company’s daily operations, managing the safety program, fostering client relations, and implementing the company’s vision. As a Certified Healthcare Constructor, he is passionate about the healthcare sector and believes that patients, visitors, and employees deserve an environment thoughtfully designed to address their stressful circumstances. This philosophy extends beyond healthcare; it embodies the way Wurster conducts all its business, reflected in our slogan, “Built for Life.” In his spare time, Max enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, who always keep life entertaining.
Jeremy is the Vice President of Preconstruction at Wurster Construction, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in estimating to the role. He has built strong working relationships with many trade contractors and suppliers in Central Indiana. Jeremy effectively applies his expertise in construction methods, cost histories, and the budgeting and estimating processes, staying closely involved with projects until their completion. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors for the ABC Indiana/Kentucky Chapter and on the Board of the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE), where he also serves as the Central Plains Governor. Jeremy has been an active member of the Central Indiana Chapter of ASPE for over two decades.
Sherry Dean is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Wurster Construction. She possesses extensive experience and expertise in financial management and is a licensed CPA. Sherry holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Phoenix. Since 2006, she has worked in the construction industry, holding several key roles that showcase her dedication to excellence and her ability to navigate the complexities of construction finance. As CFO, she excels in ensuring financial stability and driving growth. Sherry is deeply committed to our core values of honesty, integrity, and quality. Outside of her professional life, Sherry enjoys spending time with her family.
Denise Soots, Vice President of Business Development at Wurster Construction, brings more than 25 years of experience in the design, marketing, and construction industries. She is dedicated to building and maintaining strong client relationships and actively pursuing new projects. Denise values quality interactions and plays a key role in shaping the future direction of our projects.
