Wurster Construction has been a proud partner of IU Health for over 35 years. Wurster Construction even has a special projects unit that helps maintain both Methodist and Riley Children’s Hospital which works onsite daily. Our mission is to help renovate and expand its traditional emergency services. The goal: Treat children with all kinds of emergencies, from raging fevers to sports injuries, whether or not they have chronic medical conditions.
Riley Children’s Hospital staff has been growing steadily since 2012. This ED expansion included design updates and new exam rooms to help staff monitor more patients at once. Our work included renovating the existing ED unit on the hospital’s first floor with 10 new Fast Track Exam Rooms, 4 new Behavioral Health Holding Rooms, 1 new Center of Hope Exam Room, and updating workstations for support spaces.
