Hendricks Regional Health Emergency Department Triage
The Emergency Department of the hospital is of upmost importance to a patient’s critical care. To improve efficiencies, Hendricks Regional Health engaged Wurster Construction in the re-construction of the HRH Emergency Triage. The 1,700 SQFT renovation was designed to improve patient assessments and critical care evaluations so priority of care can be assigned. Located in the main area of the existing emergency department the project consisted of a complete relocation of the hospital security department, (3) new triage rooms with Triage room #1 becoming one of the largest in the State of Indiana. A new reception area, aid office, operator room, new control area, new patient and family waiting area included new finishes. There was extensive electrical and security completed for the new security office. One-way film was used on the windows and door into the security office. The 24/7 Emergency Department was operational during the 6 months of construction.
